Outdoor Dance Performance: Birds Excited Into FlightEvent Categories:
Queer Assistant Professor of Dance, Anthony Alterio, and students from the Department of Theatre & Dance SUNY Fredonia will perform an evening length dance performance at the Birds Excited Into Flight sculpture in Bidwell Parkway on August 20th, 2020 from 6:30pm-7:00pm.
The piece will investigate and invoke various aspects of pride, gender, sexuality, and community through movement, structured improvisation, and storytelling. We invite anyone who is willing to witness, listen, and view our explorations to attend this one-time performance.
The audience can watch from multiple areas. 1.) Your car. Bidwell Parkway has plenty of street parking near the sculpture. 2.) Anywhere in the field of Bidwell Parkway. We ask everyone to keep a 20ft distance away from the sculpture. Bring lawn chairs if you wish to sit. We also ask that you be respectful of the performers and other audience members by following the 6ft social distancing rule and to please wear a mask.
